Earlier this spring, the Virtual Instruments team headed out to Vegas (yes, again) for one of the most important technology conferences for our company. Dell Technologies World offers us the opportunity to demonstrate our industry-leading technology to the engineers, architects, and operators at the forefront of innovation for the IT infrastructure stack and related systems and operations.
Dell Technologies World 2018 took place April 30-May 2 at the Venetian in Las Vegas. As one does in Vegas, we started the week off with a party. But not just any party: on Monday night we hosted our seventh annual customer and partner appreciation celebration to acknowledge the customers and partners who’ve joined us over the years to lead change, drive transformation, and disrupt the status quo. We filled the night with socializing, tasty food and cocktails, and even a bit of karaoke. The event was a hit and we started off the week feeling energized and ready to hit the conference floor.
Dell Technologies World is the nexus of our customer base and we always enjoy getting the chance to network with new and current partners and customers. During the event, representatives from Virtual Instruments conducted demos of WorkloadWisdom, our storage workload performance management validation platform, and our updated VirtualWisdom platform featuring Cisco SAN Telemetry Streaming and AppDynamics integration – which offers a new level of visibility across enterprise-grade infrastructures such as Dell EMC VxRACK and ScaleIO in addition to their new PowerMax 2000/8000 arrays. We hosted more than 2,300 visitors at our booth over the course of the event, and couldn’t be happier with the conversations we were able to have about helping them proactively assure infrastructure performance.
One of the highlights from the event was our CTO John Gentry’s presentation titled “Making SLAs REAL: Industry Best Practices for App-centric Service Assurance with VMAX, VPLEX and VirtualWisdom.” During the breakout session, John discussed the tools, platforms, and strategies that enable enterprise IT teams to manage and assure performance, and attendees walked away with an understanding of what it really takes to deliver highly performant business-critical infrastructure across distributed modern data centers.
Dell Technologies World is always one of the biggest events for us at Virtual Instruments, and this year was no exception! The party on Monday was a hit, our booth saw great foot traffic, the demo stations were constantly in use, and our team had an amazing time networking with current and potential partners and customers. If you weren’t able to attend the event, or maybe just didn’t make it to our booth, you can still request a personal demo of our industry-leading technology. Drop us a line and we’ll be in touch!
