By Len Rosenthal, Chief Marketing Officer, Virtual Instruments
Earlier this week, leading channel publication CRN named Virtual Instruments’ Vice President of Global Channel Sales, Paul Brodie, to CRN’s prestigious list of 2019 Channel Chiefs. Honorees are selected by CRN’s editorial staff based on their professional achievements, standing in the industry, dedication to the channel partner community and strategies for driving future growth and innovation.
Paul was selected as a 2019 Channel Chief primarily for his leadership role in the significant refresh of the Virtual Instruments VIP Program. Since its launch, the VIP Program has resulted in a tenfold increase in the number of deal registrations and a significant uptick in partner derived revenue on a year-over-year basis.
In addition, Paul is a proven sales leader with a track record for driving revenue growth with indirect sales organizations. He is passionate around building and managing global sales teams that leverage various partners, and has a proven ability to manage complex partner ecosystems and multiple routes to market. Paul’s ability to digest new technology and craft the essential value propositions enable him to develop and expand partnerships and rapidly scale new solutions into the global market.
Before joining Virtual Instruments, Paul held a number of roles at Brocade, Inc., starting as a Global Sales Executive in 2004, and working his way to VP of Global Systems Integration and Outsourcing Partners in 2015 where he was responsible for Brocade’s global systems integrators team. Before Brocade, Paul held various sales leadership roles within channels organizations, as well as direct sales organizations.
We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: our partners’ success is the root of our success, and our collective achievements are a result of our relentless joint commitment to education, enablement and empowerment. Under Paul’s leadership, we’ve increased our partner qualified pipeline opportunities by nearly 400 percent, and the Virtual instruments partner community has grown in average revenue per partner by more than 25 percent. We’re honored to have Paul as an integral member of the Virtual Instruments family and extend our congratulations to him for this notable recognition.
